Bottled Magic - Multi-Purpose Bathroom Cleaner

budget, DIY, homemade cleaningMorgan Taber6 Comments

I was always skeptical about homemade cleaners, I kind of just figured there was no way that they could work as well as the store-bought stuff. But, trying to live more frugally and if not green at least a little less chemically, I started making some of my cleaners at home. I was seriously disgusted with having 10 cleaners for each job, all taking up space in my cabinets and money out of my wallet.

Works like a charm!

This stuff has seriously changed the way I clean. I use it on my shower, on my tub, on my bathroom countertops, to get nasty gunk of the kid's bathroom sink. It cuts through everything. This was the only thing that worked in getting a nasty stain up from my rickety old tub, after trying chemical after chemical. Being it doesn't have any harsh chemicals, I feel good about using this around my kids and pets. No fear of anyone turning glow-in-the-dark with this stuff, folks.

You probably already have all of the ingredients in your pantry to give it a try. The recipe is made for 24 ounce bottles (Dollar Tree, y'all!), but you can of course adjust it to your liking. I prefer Dawn, but you can use whatever you have on hand. The laundry detergent is optional, for olfactory purposes only, I just happen to be a freak for the scent of Gain.

The Ultimate Bathroom Cleaner  AKA Bottled Magic

12 ounces White Vinegar
12 ounces Dish Soap
1 teaspoon Laundry Detergent

Add all ingredients to your spray bottle and shake up.

That's it! Simple, cheap and not laden down with chemicals you can't pronounce. Enjoy!
